About this directory

What this is

This site is a directory of 100 cafes and coffee shops in Puchong, built for locals and visitors who want a straight answer to “where should I actually get coffee or breakfast around here.” It is not a booking platform and it is not a paid ad network dressed up as a review site. It is a working list, ranked from data, that gets checked and updated every month.

It is meant for people who want a quick, honest read before they drive out: which places are actually good right now, which ones have slipped, and which are new and worth a look.

Who runs it

The directory is published by Sarah, a food blogger since 2015. Sarah built this project to help people in the area find decent coffee and food without wading through outdated posts or listings that never get touched again after launch. She oversees the rubric, checks the data pipeline, and is the person responsible for what ends up ranked where. If you have a correction or a dispute about a listing, it lands with her, not an anonymous team.

Where the information comes from

Every listing starts with public business information (location, hours, contact details, that kind of thing) plus a synthesis of recent Google reviews for that business. We do not copy or republish review text. Instead, we summarise the patterns in recent public sentiment and link out to the business’s Google listing so you can read the original reviews yourself and form your own view.

How rankings are earned

Rankings come from a published rubric applied consistently to the data we collect, nothing else. You can read exactly how scoring works on the methodology page. No listing buys its way up the list, and no one on our side hand-adjusts a score because a business asked nicely.

A business that appears here can flag and correct factual details about itself: hours, address, phone number, that sort of thing. What it cannot do is edit its own score, its sentiment summary, or its position in the ranking. That stays tied to the data, not to the business’s preference.

Sponsorship, when it exists

Some pages may carry sponsored placements. These are always labelled “Sponsored,” always displayed as a separate section from the earned ranking, and never blended into it. Paying for visibility does not move a business up the ranked list. It just buys a clearly marked spot alongside it.

Keeping it current

The full directory is refreshed monthly, so scores and summaries reflect recent activity rather than a one-time snapshot from years ago. Each individual listing also carries a “last verified” stamp, showing you exactly when that page was last checked. If a stamp reads a few weeks old, that is not a guess. It means someone actually looked at it again recently.

FAQ

Can a cafe pay to rank higher?
No. Rankings come only from the published rubric applied to public data and review sentiment. Sponsorship, when present, is a separate labelled placement and never changes a listing's earned position.
Can a business edit its own listing?
It can correct factual details like hours, address, or contact information. It cannot change its own score, sentiment summary, or ranking.
How often is the directory updated?
The whole directory is refreshed monthly. Each listing also shows a last verified date so you can see when it was last checked.
Do you show the original Google reviews?
We don't republish review text. We synthesise patterns from recent public reviews and link out to the business's Google listing so you can read the source yourself.
